Hospice Giving Opportunities

Support the mission of the SECU Hospice House—a place of comfort and compassion at the end of life. Contributions to the Johnston Health Foundation's Hospice Fund, will help patients get the care they need to live their final season of life with peace and dignity. Without your support, the SECU Hospice House would not exist to serve your community in Johnston County.

Eighty percent of people nearing the end of life are on Medicare, which does not cover hospice room and board. By donating to the Johnston Health Foundation Hospice Fund, you’ll help cover expenses for our patients with financial need. You’ll also contribute to:

  • Essential equipment purchases
  • Training to help staff and volunteers provide the best possible care
  • Other necessities to provide a home-like atmosphere for patients and their families

Honor Your Loved One

Memorial Wall Plaque

In celebration of the SECU Hospice House's 10th anniversary, the Johnston Health Foundation is pleased to offer personally engraved plaques as your loved one's lasting legacy to the SECU Hospice House. This is a great opportunity to honor, thank, or remember people who are special to you. These plaques will complete the Memorial Wall, located beneath the beautiful pergola in the Memorial Garden.

You may order a plaque online, or download, complete and mail a memorial wall order form [PDF]. All proceeds will benefit our Hospice House Capital Improvement Fund to ensure the facility continues to be a place of comfort and compassion at the end of life.

Memorial Bricks

Leave a lasting legacy by purchasing a personally engraved brick to honor, thank, or remember someone special. We’ll place your brick at the location of your choice—the Memorial Garden or the Veterans Memorial at the SECU Hospice House.

You may order a brick online, or download, complete, and mail a brick order form [PDF]. Proceeds benefit the Hospice Capital Improvement Fund (building upgrades).

Grateful Patient Program

Hospice staff cannot accept gifts from patients or families, but you can thank a special caregiver with a donation to the Grateful Patient Program. Write “GPP” and the caregiver’s or department’s name on your check to the Johnston Health Foundation.

Your honoree will receive a letter notifying them of your generosity. It will not state the amount of your gift.
